This is one of my many short stories, a creepy one about vengeance, enjoy :)

The grin

Nobody did notice her as she hurried down the street, in her grey coat with the hood pulled way forth, covering her face. The weather was bad with wind and some rain and nobody was thinking that much about who they met on the streets as they hurried back to their warm and cosy homes. If anybody had looked up they would have seen a slightly stressed middle aged woman carrying a rather large handbag. Probably a housewife on her way back from work, returning to her husband and kids, or maybe even some poor lonely soul returning to an empty house. If anybody had stopped and looked closer at this seemingly ordinary innocent lady they would perhaps have noticed a rather peculiar glimpse within her eyes, a hint of something which did resemble madness.
She hurried along the wet street, her eyes firmly on the asphalt ahead and she clutched the bag closer to her body, she was shaking a bit from something akin to growing hysteria and also supressed laughter. She had done it, she had finally gathered her courage and done what she had thought of for so many years. She didn’t really know what the final trigger had been but it could have been that program on the TV. It was a mere coincidence that she had seen it, she had switched the telly on to watch the news and there he had been, as slick as ever before, smooth as a lamprey and with the usual grin plastered around his mouth. That grin, how she hated and loathed that grin. “Look at me” it said, “Look at me and admire me!”
She was surprised that she hadn’t just crushed the TV set there and then, but she had managed to rein in her wrath. She couldn’t afford a new one, as a matter of fact there was so much she no longer could afford these days. Her small flat was rather Spartan and small and she hadn’t yet managed to get herself a new job. She was too old, that was the sorry truth about it. She was faded, useless, her prime years wasted away. And it was all his fault, his bloody fault. She had had a great future ahead of her, she had had a great career and not the least, dignity! She had been good at her job, as a matter of fact she had been brilliant and famous for her skills.

And then he had come into her life, swept her off her feet with his generous courtship and his way too shiny grin. She had been unforgivably naïve, she had believed that everything was good, that life from now on would be fantastic and that the future was bright indeed. But too soon his darker sides had appeared and she had felt imprisoned. She wasn’t allowed to work for that wasn’t right in his mind, she had her duty to take care of the house and him and his needs. He didn’t want children for they didn’t fit into his lifestyle, they could ruin the expensive furniture and make the luxury villa dirty and decrease the value of the house. She had to play hostess rather often and everything had to be spotless and perfect. Mercy be upon her if something was out of order and the image she presented to the guests weren’t absolutely glorious. And the grin, always the grin. The successful “I know best” grin which she had admired at first, but not again, never again.

She had stayed for so many years even if she soon understood that he had other women beside her, bravely she kept her mouth shut and stood there smiling next to her successful and handsome husband, oh yes, the façade was shiny and just perfect.

And then one day he had returned home with the divorce papers and demanded that she signed them there and then, and in shock and sorrow she had, not really knowing what she did sign. She had been too naïve also now and she was suddenly a pauper left without anything of value, except a few old belonging he more or less threw out of the house in disgust since they never had fitted with his “Style”.

She was no longer the beauty she had once been, she was a faded rose but now the wrath made her skin glow again and she walked with a spring in her steps. Now it did matter no more, she didn’t care if they found her and threw her in jail, she had gotten her vengeance. The grin would never again seduce anybody.
She knew that his new flame was a girl of twenty something, a model who probably consisted of at least twenty percent silicone and restylane. An overly decorated Christmas tree was what she thought of the first time she saw a picture of him with his newest conquest in tow on the front of a fancy magazine. If you threw that chick onto a glass door the lips would make her stick to it, she was rather sure of it. And the girl had looked at him as if she was an apostle and he the great redeemer. She saw through it all, of course she did. Little Mrs model saw only a slick grin and lots of money, she had married his gold card and not the man himself. Well, they would see now, if the little Mrs sexy had signed a marriage contract as horrible as the one she had been fooled into accepting thirty years ago. It would be exciting to see.

She went calmly through the city park, as expected there wasn’t anybody there at this time of the day, people were busy getting home in time for dinner or hurrying to get to the kindergarten or school in time to pick up their hopeful ones. In the shade behind a huge old pinetree she saw a huge garbage container and she did tear off the gray coat swiftly and then her grey wig and threw it inn with the coat. Underneath she wore a very modern red coat which was so popular almost half of the women out there wore one. She put a small light hat on top of her dark blonde hair and put her bag into a plastic bag from a nearby supermarked. Suddenly she did look like a new person.
They would probably understand in time, they usually did but she wasn’t going to make it too easy. She wondered what her punishment would be? Anyhow, it didn’t matter, the grin was gone, gone for ever. It made it all worth it.

She was a bit shocked by her own courage and her own determination, but enough was enough and she knew she had to end it, to get rid of the source of her misery once and for all. She did remember most of the things she once had learned and the clinic was still there in the old building behind the firestation. Little had changed and she knew where they still stored medication and equipment. She had sneaked in through the fire escape door which they never did lock while people were still at work and she knew when the employees were off to lunch, sneaking in and getting what she needed hadn’t been hard at all, just very thrilling. She had felt oddly alive there and then, filled with a sort of sparkling new energy which did restore some of her lost youth.

The rest of the preparations were harder but she managed it all, she did still have a key to his garage and his schedule was also easy to get access too. One swift call to his secretary claiming to be a reporter interested in the new plans of building a new highway straight through a suburb, and she was told where he was at the moment. The plans would leave many families homeless but who cared? She had seen him in the papers, with his wide white grin, self satisfied and gloating as ever, pleased with what he did achieve, at the cost of others. Just the thought sent cold shivers down her spine but never again, no, never again. She had done a very good job, a job anybody ought to be impressed by.

The flat was dark and she hurried into the bathroom, pulled forth the handbag. It was heavy and she did open it after hesitating for a moment. It was a very expensive handbag, once it had cost a fortune but it was one of the few things she had been allowed to keep, simply because the little blond bitch had thought that it was too old. It was thrown at her and cast aside, just as she had been. It did fit well this way, it was a sort of poetic justice served there. The inside of the handbag was bloody, if a thief had snatched it from her he would have suffered from a terrible shock, the idea made her giggle slightly.

She knew his routine, he would always take a huge gin and tonic when he returned home from the office and she had filled the bottle with enough drugs to put a horse to sleep. It was no point in torturing him, she had a clean consciousness when it came to that. No, she had done the job painlessly, at least she could brag about that. It could have been way worse, but it had been a gruesome job and it went against everything she once had stood for and learned.

She was another beast now, a whole new creature, she had avenged herself, sought vengeance for wasted years, for countless sleepless nights filled with silent tears after having been scolded mercilessly for having done what he saw as mistakes. She had never been good enough, there had always been something to point the finger at, to use to break her spirit and make her convinced that his words of cruelty and despise were true. And always the grin, it was plastered on his face even when he was verbally abusing her, “Look how worthless you are” it said” See how little you mean to the world” But not again, no never again.

She sat down in the old worn sofa, felt how her heart did slow down, how peace and a strange tranquillity did fall over her battered soul. It was a sensation of completion and fulfilment, and it was good. The best feeling she had felt for many a long year. It was justice, it was right, no matter what they would say. In the distance she could hear the sound of ambulance sirens and she smiled, a pleased smile. It was the right time, the new wife had probably returned home and found her trophy husband, soon it would be all over the radio and the TV.

She went to the radio and turned it on, it was just music at the moment. She then got over to a closet in the corner and retrieved a bottle from a hidden compartment within it. The closet was one of the few things she had brought with her from her former home, oddly enough for it was very old and an antiquity she had inherited from an aunt, but it was large and nobody could say that it was a thing of beauty. She had never shown him the hidden compartments and the bottle which had been hidden for many years was one of his most expensive ones. A very rare red wine worth almost a hundred grand.
She had snatched it at a party and decided to hide it and she stared at it with a narrow grin. Oh yes, she had started playing with her plans that far back. She knew that now, the idea had been there all along but it wasn’t until now that it had gotten air enough to burst into life, like a flame waiting to be ignited. She walked calmly towards the kitchen bench, found a wine opener and let the flask stand on the bench for a while, let the wine breathe.

It was the last piece of the luxury she once had been allowed to enjoy, it had been a golden prison and she knew that so very well. Now her once broken wings had healed and the shy little canary bird had become a hawk with claws and a sharp beak, able to pick her enemies to pieces.
She remained in front of the TV until late that evening, the finally something happened. A rather frantic reporter came on, almost shivering with energy. He was informing the public of a terrible and very disturbing attack downtown, the victim was the famous politician and she felt that laughter was building up inside of her once again.

The news kept coming through the early hours of the night, the young wife was taken to hospital in shock, nobody did really understand anything of what had transpired. She went to the bathroom, got the instruments out of the bag and cleaned them carefully using chlorine. The clinic would most probably be glad to have them returned for they were custom made and very expensive. She let her hands slide over them, almost lovingly as she put them back into their small custom made cases. She had known them all so very well and in a way it was painful to see them again. All that she could have achieved, all that she could have done. If it hadn’t been for him and his sparkling grin…

But she did still have the skills, she had been fast. She lifted the glass jar out of the bag, stared at it with a small grin. What would they say when they came? She had no idea but she was almost looking forwards to it, she had been extremely thorough, there was no salvation for what had once been.

They did come knocking the day after, she was slightly surprised but in reality she had expected it, it was after all not that many who knew the code for his house alarm and he had never changed it. She was ready for them, smiled as she opened the door. The investigator who stood there did look a bit shocked, he could hardly believe that this radiant looking woman was the same as the one on the image he had seen, a faded sad creature with dead eyes and a fake smile. She was far from old and faded, she did almost glow with a sort of inner energy which made her rather stunning, like a queen at the height of her power.
“I assume that you know that your ex husband has been…assaulted?”

She nodded, the smile became wider, carrying within it a spark of insanity. “Of course I know!”

The investigator did wet his lips, looking a bit confused and she lifted her chin proudly. “I was a dental surgeon before I married him you know, and I was a darn good one too. Finally my skills came to good use again!”

She held up the glass jar with all his teeth, all were carefully split and the roots filed down so they never could be reattached to a jaw. Destroying the gums so badly that not even fake teeth could be screwed inn had been a tough job but she had done it. He would have to use special dentures from now on, it was all he could hope for. She was laughing silently as the investigator took the jar with huge eyes and he was getting pale as he saw what it did contain. She was still laughing as they grasped her by the arms and hauled her off towards the waiting police car. Everybody would soon know it, absolutely everybody. Everybody would see that the radiant white grin was fake, just as fake as he was.

I have several novels i have written and here is a small story taken from one of them. It is about the start of the relationship between some of the characters in the novel.

Awakening

The sun had set over the city hours ago and the streets had become rather quiet. Just a few guards were out walking their routes and then there was a small group from the circus. Nobody would dare to bother them, even if they all were female. The whole city knew that the weapon masters and priestesses from the circus were among the most lethal of creatures and you didn’t try to challenge them in any manner unless you wanted to pay with your own blood. This was a rather large group, there weren’t that many women in the training facility but those who lived there were the best of the best and now they had enjoyed an evening out on the city, without their spouses and mates.
They had visited the tavern and all were a bit tipsy and in a very good mood. A couple of the ladies were singing rather loud and there was a lot of giggling and laughing going on. They did stumble into the entrance where two of the guards did open the gate with a grin, Frostbird did wave her hand. “Come, let us go to the baths, I need to cool down”
They all did agree and followed the silvery haired elf to the huge bath, it was a peaceful place and they did lower their voices and entered. The lamps were lit the whole day, and the large pools were devoid of people. It was rather late and the old healer who was in charge of the rooms had gone to bed a long ago. The women did undress and got into one of the pools, some were very hot and others cool and this one wasn’t very warm but not cold either. It was just perfect to cool down after a hot evening with dance and drink and the ladies did gather in a group. Akisha was among them, she had needed to let her hair down for once and just relax and now she did attach her long black hair to the top of her head and leaned back against the edge of the pool. They had a few new apprentices there now, and it was wonderful that women too now tried to become a part of this place.
Whaly did still make sure that those worthy of it could be trained for as long as they needed to. Some didn’t make it and learned just enough to protect themselves while others became guards or elite soldiers and a very few were talented enough to train to become weapon masters. They had two young women this year, both with considerable talent but only one had it in her to possibly become a weapon master. She was the daughter of a blacksmith and a very pragmatic woman in her late teens. Akisha had already seen that she had the mental strength to go through the horrible training, she wouldn’t break and she wouldn’t try to take short cuts, that was important. The other girl was sent there by her parents, she was from the upper class of a city longer north and she wouldn’t reach any of the higher levels. She was there to learn how to protect herself and her family and to her that was enough. She had no wish to become an elite warrior.
The two girls had arrived some months earlier and at first they had been very shy and afraid of saying anything wrong but now they were loosening up and becoming a part of the huge family this place was. The black smith’s daughter was scrubbing her hands and she did look like a very pleased cat who has spotted a whole bowl of fat cream. “I must say that Dern’s liquor packs a punch, I cannot remember anything after the first cup”
Rhylja who was one of the priestesses did giggle. “You are not the first one to fall into that trap, you have to water it out, or else you get drunk before you even know it”
Deidre did nod and sighed. “Thanks for the warning, but a bit too late, it taste so good though, what is in it?”
Akisha sort of snorted, she was a bit drunk so she wasn’t as calm and serene as normal. “Nobody knows, it is a secret you see. Many have tried to get the recipe but none have managed to. Getting that recipe from Dern is harder than robbing a dragons’ hoard”
Everybody laughed and the other girl named Ziana did lean forth a bit, she bit her lower lip and did look a bit nervous but also curious. “Ah, it isn’t really a business of mine, but I heard something odd the other day?”
The others did look at her, curiosity on every face. “What? Here odd things are the norm so just spit it out if there is something you want to know”
Frostbird was the most outgoing of the priestesses and even Enez who was no master or priestess could beat her when it came to being straight forward. Ziana did turn and stared at Elywen. The tall elven woman with the flame coloured hair was if not the most majestic of the group the most beautiful among them the way many saw things and she was so very lady like and elegant. Many of the young girls there saw her as their idol, Akisha was just too alike the dark goddess she did worship and Frostbird was kind of savage, simple as that. Ziana did wet her lips. “Someone said that…that your husband had another wife before? At the same time as he was married to you?”
Elywen did sigh, she did look down. “Yes, that is true”
Ziana did frown. “Really? He had two wives?!”
Akisha did make a grimace. “Listen young one, they are elves, and elves do things differently than humans. To them sharing a spouse isn’t that odd at all, if you love somebody you want them to be happy and sometimes the heart has room for more than just one”
Ziana swallowed. “It is just strange, I guess I haven’t seen that much of the world after all”
Elywen did smile, her gentle demeanour did calm everybody down and it was hard to tell that she in fact was the most powerful there. “She was a girl from a nomadic tribe, captured and sold as a slave and Akisha and Raigh did rescue her. She met Hawk and fell in love with him and since we already knew that her fate would be a tragic one he did agree to take her as his second wife, to ensure her happiness for as long as she did last”
Ziana did almost gape. “She is dead then? How tragic?”
Elywen did nod. “Yes, she did sacrifice her life to save us all, and her soul is safe with the goddess now, still we miss her a lot. She was a wonderful and sweet thing and even if she did die as a hero we still wish things were different”
Deidre did stare at them, eyes wide. “But it is so romantic, still, you weren’t jealous?”
Elywen did shake her head, her hair was wet and hung like a fiery waterfall down her back. She and Akisha were the tallest there and her elven elegance did truly set her apart. “No, I and Hawk are bonded, there is no way to end that since we both are elves and I did never doubt him at all. He did care for her, he didn’t love her the way he loves me but he did try to make her happy”
Enez did snicker. “I do not doubt that she was a very happy woman indeed, I have walked by your rooms at night and Hawk does have the lungs of a stag, and sounds like one too”
Elywen did blush and had to look down, she wasn’t as unaffected by such talk as most elves since she had been raised by humans. The women did giggle, and Ziana was still curious. “How did you and Hawk meet? He is so very handsome but frightening too in a way”
Elywen did sigh, the two were new and didn’t know the story and she closed her eyes and allowed her memories to drift freely. “That is a long story I fear, do you truly want to hear it?”
Both Ziana and Deidre did nod and Enez and Rhylja did find more comfortable positions. “Sure, why not? The night is yet young”
Elywen had to laugh. “True words, I am a bit drunk so that makes it easier. I guess you ought to know”
She crossed her legs and leaned back. “It all started when I was supposed to die, the village I grew up in were struck by the scalding fever and everybody got sick, me included”
They all shuddered, scalding fever was a horrible disease nobody did survive. It was a bit like small pox but worse, way worse. The fever could reach horrifying levels and the skin of the sick people would turn into a hard shell, nails and hair did fall off and death was a salvation for the agony was unbearable. The two newcomers did stare, eyes wide.
Elywen made a sad smile. “My step mother placed me in the river, it could be that which saved me, or it could be the fact that I never truly was human to begin with. But we didn’t know that then, only that my mother had wandered into the woods and was gone for several days, when she was found she was pregnant and also completely without memories. I survived but was horribly disfigured, barely able to move and everywhere people treated me like a monster”
Deidre did gasp. “That is hard to believe”
Elywen smiled at her. “Yes it is, but it is the truth. I was barely humanoid and the pain of having joints which had fused and skin which would crack and bleed at every movement was enough to make me wish for death quite often. “
She did stretch her arms out. “I found refuge in a hidden valley where elves did live and there I met Hawk, he was going to be my guide for I was told to go to an old temple, it was a prophecy and to the elves that was pretty serious”
Ziana did tilt her head. “Did you fall in love then?”
Elywen did snicker. “No, absolutely not, well, not at first anyhow. I had a horribly disfigured body, he was a disfigured soul if I may say so. He was a hateful, ice cold vengeance driven monster who only saw joy in killing orcs. He was worse than the orcs, a truly lost soul, a dark elf. “
Deidre did look a bit scared. “I can feel that sometimes when he is near, that he is…dangerous”
Elywen did nod. “He did serve death, and the sensitive ones can still feel that in him. But he agreed to take me to the temple for he knew where it was and he was the only one with hope of surviving the journey, it was an area packed with danger”
Elywen remembered the one moment when she started to see him as something else than an abomination. He had been training early in the morning and hadn’t been aware of the fact that she was watching him. His slow controlled movements and almost cat like elegance had mesmerized her and also been the first time she had been aware of what she truly had lost with her ruined body. He had been beauty and death moulded into one magnificent form and she had compared him with a black rose, covered with steel barbs.
Ziana didn’t even blink. “And then?”
Elywen made a sort of a grimace. “We did make it to the temple, it was a sacred place, beyond time and space and only Hawk and me did survive the journey. We were safe there, and didn’t know what was next”
Akisha had to grin. “The goddess does always have plans for her favourites”
Elywen had to scoff. “Indeed she does. I was told the truth of my heritage and then I started to transform back to normal and it was horrible, it was even more painful than the scalding fever and it was Hawk’s test. He had to relearn how to feel empathy and how to let go of his past and it was terrible for us both.”
Deidre did blink, she did look incredulous and her mouth was open. “You did just transform?”
Elywen shook her head . “Heck no! The stiff skin became like a suit of armour and he had to get it off me, it was like a cocoon and I was reborn inside of it one might say. I did emerge from the shell of my old self as a person with no hair and no shapes at all”
Enez did throw a glance at Elywen, it was filled with admiration “You are far from shapeless now, I am sure he does appreciate that”
Elywen had to laugh. “Yes, that too did change naturally enough, I was eating like a pack of wolves for days and when it was over I was as I am now, hair and everything”
Deidre did whistle. “And then you fell in love?”
Elywen did snort and had to hide her face behind her hands for a moment. “Well, nothing is really easy in this world. He wasn’t used to feelings remember, he was cold, a killing machine and the goddess did change him too, he got his feelings back and that did…make things interesting to say the least”
Elywen had to shake her head remembering the situations which had occurred and as they listened she did relive those days, confusing and wonderful and terrifying as they had been.
When she did realize that she was healed, that her body was healthy and hale and normal and way better looking than ever before she had been filled with a sort of intense euphoria unlike anything she had ever encountered before. She has suffered for years, she had existed instead of living and something as simple as being able to eat had been amazing to her. Her jaws had been very stiff and she could only eat liquid food and now she could chew and swallow and she had gone crazy with it. She had to taste everything and Hawk had been driven to despair by her zeal. He had to stop her from tasting things which were downright dangerous and nobody could ever claim that he was a good cook but even his sorry excuse for cuisine went down the hatch as if it was wonderful delicacies.
And then there was the problem with clothing, she had nothing to wear. The cloak she had worn had been burned since it did stink and she had in her overwhelming joy of life no sense of decency at all. She ran around in the nude and the feeling of air against her skin was wonderful. She hadn’t really realized that it did affect Hawk until he tried to teach her to ride. He had made her a sort of skirt from his own cloak and she had problems getting off the horse so he did lift her off and lost his balance since her skirt got caught on the saddle horn. And they had fallen and she landed on top of him, naked.
At first she had been afraid he had hurt himself for he did look a bit funny and he didn’t move at all, then she felt something very hard against her thigh and there and then she realized that he too was fully healed. And he was unable to control himself, he simply wasn’t used to feeling anything except anger and hatred. Elywen had found the sensation to be very intriguing and she wanted to explore, she had absolutely no breaks whatsoever and giggled as she had pushed herself against him and Hawk had looked as if he was terrified. It felt exciting and she had always known that she had lost so much with the ruined body she had been trapped within. She had never been in love, and she had never touched a man and Hawk was incredibly handsome and attractive. She wanted to feel what it was to be alive, to embrace all aspects of life and he was tempting, she wanted to learn and know what it was all about.
He had managed to sort of roll her off of him, looking as if he didn’t really know what to say or do. It was very clear that he was aroused and also that he had come close from her movements against him but he had excused himself and ran off into the bushes. Elywen had been disappointed and also a bit sad, she had only wanted to see what would happen and when he did return after a while she just knew that he had touched himself. He had looked incredibly sheepish and had taken a walk to the river and when he returned he was wet all over, as if he had taken a swift cold bath.
It became a game to her, a challenge. She wanted to see how long it would take before he gave inn and gave her what she needed and wanted and she did her best to tempt him, although very innocently. She knew that the memory of his first wife who had died by the hands of orcs was almost erased by the Goddess, he was freed from that dark cloud of guilt and sorrow. He had been very young when he married, maybe too young even and when he discovered that the orcs had taken his wife away for sports he had found her only to have to end her life with his own hands, to prevent them both from being captured anew. It had driven him mad, Elywen knew that, and she felt terribly sorry for him and wanted to be good to him. She wanted to give him new and better memories and she was sure that he would be amazing , if he just gave inn and accepted that she wasn’t some cripple anymore and that she truly wanted him, also in the most intimate of manners.
Hawk did doubt himself, that was the core of the problem. He saw himself as inferior and unworthy of her affection and her attempts at tempting him usually ended with him running off like a frightened deer, terrified of losing control and giving inn.
She remembered one time by the river, they had bathed and she had walked up to him, admiring the broad shoulders and dark silky skin over the taut muscles. She had traced his many scars with her fingertips and then with her tongue and he had stood there, shivering, trembling and fighting his own instincts until it became too much and he did run off, again.
Elywen had started to learn more about her own body now, and she wasn’t afraid of him in any way. She was much braver than ever before and she was adamant, sooner or later he had to give inn. So she kept tempting and teasing and he was driven to near desperation more than once. He didn’t truly dare to believe that she was really interested in him and he did fear that she just wanted satisfaction and nothing more while he would risk his very heart and soul if he did give inn. To his race a joining of bodies did also mean a joining of souls and it was no going back whence it was done, you had to be able to trust your partner completely, or else you could get very hurt emotionally.
Elywen was of a very different race of elves and to them this was something very different, she had no fears at all. She didn’t understand why he was so reluctant to fuck her, she wanted to know what it felt like and also, she knew that he was the right one for her. The goddess had told her so and she didn’t doubt the truth in that at all. Her odd childlike innocence was pared with the determination of a grown woman in the grasp of lust and she tried to make him understand that she was after more than just bodily pleasure. He was her mate and he had to be able to see that?
Hawk did feel guilty for desiring her, he had laid his past behind him and yet it felt as if he was being unfaithful when he felt desire for Elywen. His wife’s spirit had released the bond between them, he had mourned her for the first time instead of keeping the grief alive, it had fuelled his wild rage and frantic killing spree for years but now there was another path for him and it was so very very hard to accept that things had to change. He didn’t know how.
Elywen had driven him to insanity several times, he was afraid of harming her, of misreading her signals and he knew that he was a changed man, also physically. He was scarred and hardened by battle, hardly the lithe elegant elven male he once had been. Now his body was muscular and his skin darker and he knew that many did fear his appearance. His once brown eyes had turned black as coal and yet Elywen wanted him? She should get the chance to meet others, he couldn’t be worthy of her affection.
But Elywen knew he was affected, it was in his eyes the whole time, in his behaviour and even his scent told of his repressed desire. She did love how her teasing made him smell more musky and she did often try to spy on him when he ran off, eager to see what he did do and eager to learn what he did like or not. He kept keeping her at bay, and his desperation did seem to grow with each day, he would most certainly need a solid kick to turn that stubborn mind of his around so he could realize that there really wasn’t anything to worry about at all. They were meant to be, simple as that.
Elywen was still determined, they were exploring the area around the temple when they had come across a tree with some very sweet smelling ripe fruit. They had picked some and brought them with them and ate them for dinner. The fruit was very tasty, and they had eaten all and Elywen had suddenly started to feel very strange, she had never felt this light headed and everything did seem to be completely wonderful. Hawk had been grinning like mad, it was a joke she had said and she had never seen him grin like that before, it did transform his face, into something extremely beautiful. He had answered with a joke of his own and she had laughed too and before long they both lay there, gasping with laughter and feeling as if nothing in the world was difficult or bad.
Hawk was the one who realized that the fruit had been fermented, and that they were drunk. Elywen had not cared, she felt wonderful and she had started to dance and the pathetic excuses which were her clothing had flown to the wind. And he had gotten up onto his feet and joined her and they had held onto each other to stay upright and then it became an embrace and she had reached up and kissed him and …
The memory was a wee bit blurred, she did remember his hands on her skin, lips caressing her neck and shoulders, her own hands sliding across his taller wider frame, making him gasp and squirm, her own body feeling as if it was on fire, pleasure surging through her, completely out of control. She remembered laying on the ground, his mouth on her nipples, on her sex, hands exploring and teasing and making her squirm. She did remember undoing the belt holding his loincloth, hearing him moan as her hand made contact with his cock, caressing and exploring that which only made her longing burn that much more fiercely.
She hadn’t been scared, not even nervous. Even when she did realize that it would be uncomfortable, she had a new body, one not tested at all and she was most definitely a maiden and he was impressive. She had never known that a male could have that amount of girth and length and even if she did remember having seen others at it she hadn’t really been close enough to witness any details. But her body knew what it wanted and she was terribly curious about him. She had touched and explored just as much as him and seeing his reaction had been wonderful and arousing and she had felt humble when she made him moan and gasp with pleasure. She had never touched a male before, and yet she sort of knew how, and where and before long she was on her back on the grass and he was over her and that she did in fact remember rather well.
Her body had been aching for it, to be filled and for their bond to be completed and she had been very ready. He had been kissing her licking her neck, panting and mewling her name and she had placed her legs around him, held him tightly and she felt him tremble with desire and then she had felt the head of his cock against her entrance and for a swift second she had perhaps felt a sting of uncertainty but then he did thrust and was inn her and she had screamed. There had been pain, but not as much as she had feared for she was very wet and relaxed and she did want this. But there had been a feeling of something being stretched, a sort of sting and then the feeling of being filled and it had been such a new and strange sensation it had made her scream again, his name this time and he had looked as if he was terrified of what he had just done and yet the need within his expression made heat swell within her again. His eyes had been blazing and Elywen had realized that he was afraid of hurting her so she started to move, pressing her hips up against him and he had let out an odd shout and his eyes rolled up and then he did start to move, desperately.
He had lost all semblance of control, his body was in charge now and it was overwhelming and both amazingly good and a bit painful and the mixture of feelings made her writhe against him. The end had come too fast, she had seen just sparks and white light and she had felt him coming just as she did, their cries joining just as their bodies did and she felt how their souls did merge as well, from now on they were one and it couldn’t be undone. There was truth in it, something inevitable which couldn’t be denied nor hidden and she had burst into tears. He had been terrified that he had hurt her but she had managed to explain that it was all due to emotional overload, she was just so very happy and as he managed to think straight he too had been overwhelmed by this feeling of intense love and trust which a bonding did bring. They had slept in each-other’s arms that night and when they did awaken again they were sober and couldn’t regret anything. Elywen was sure the goddess had placed that tree in their path, just to speed things up a bit, they had to leave again and she could still remember their first nights together and how she had been utterly insatiable.
The women did giggle and Elywen ended the story, after they left she and Hawk had managed to help Akisha and Frostbird fight some horrible old dark power and they had been a part of the circus ever since and Elywen saw Akisha and Frostbird as her sisters in spirit if not in flesh. Deidre did smile, a sort of wry grin. “I would never have imagined that Hawk would be reluctant, he doesn’t seem like one who would deny you anything”
Elywen did snicker. “Not now no, but back then? He was really afraid of ending with a broken heart again but that will never happen, we have all the time in the world together”
Frostbird did walk out of the pool, wringing water from her thick silvery mane. “Yes, and now there is time for the bed, I have a mate who is waiting for me”
Akisha did snicker. “So do most of us, thanks for the evening ladies, it has been great fun”
Everybody did get up and the group did spread and Elywen did grasp a towel and got rid of some of the water. Akisha did nod at her. “You are brave to tell about everything like that”
Elywen just shrugged. “They needed to hear that we too are flesh and blood, that we have flaws and insecurities. That we can be petty and overly zealous too.”
Akisha sent her a tilted smile. “I did often wonder about you and Hawk and Shi, did you? You know, all three of you?”
Elywen did scoff. “What do you think? He is more than capable of satisfying two women if that is what you are insinuating, yes, we did share everything”
Akisha laughed. “I would never be able to share Raigh with anybody, but you are elves, you see things differently now doesn’t you?”
Elywen nodded. “Yes, Shi…He does miss her, I know he does. He did open his heart to her, even if I did persuade him into letting her become a part of our union. I just pray that her final words will one day come true”
Akisha did nod. “She did foresee that you two will have a daughter didn’t she?”
Elywen did nod, her eyes distant. “Yes, one day, we don’t know when. But I long for it, and we are trying”
Akisha had to laugh. “As if we haven’t heard? Go, have a good night. Thanks for a wonderful evening”
Elywen did hesitate for a second before leaving the bath, she had told Akisha the truth, there would be a child born to them and Elywen sighed and closed the door. She had little doubt that this soul to be would be a special person indeed and only the goddess would know when she would be become a part of their lives. But Elywen was patient now, she had learned as she had matured and her smile was a bit wicked as she sauntered off towards their chambers. Hawk was awake and waiting for her, she felt it through their bond and she grinned as she entered the rooms, her little story had awakened her memories and her need and if they did complain about the noise level come the morrow , well screw them. Elywen had always known what she wanted and how to get it, also this night.
